Welcome to the Oz Kink Fest
and Provocation BDsm Club website

This is where you will find information about both of these events.
Oz Kink Fest is an annual festival for the alternative and kink community of Australia based in Melbourne or Hellbourne as we like to call it. This event spans over 10 days and offers a variety of opportunities for like minded people to be a part of, there is something for everyone! The aim of the festival is to support the community we are all part of through events that raise a sense of community spirit and help to support the many businesses and community organisations we have.
Oz Kink Fest creates a unique trading and socialising environment for the Australian alternative lifestyle and fetish communities. We have put together an event that people enjoy coming to at a price that offers great value for money and in doing so we have created a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and stall-holders alike. Our aim with Oz Kink Fest is to provide an event that grows with its communities and evolves to remain fresh and exciting.

Oz Kink Fest is committed to providing information and environments that facilitate the opportunity for responsible individuals to con-sensually discover, explore, engage, educate and enjoy the diversity and delights within Melbourne’s Fetish Communities. We respectfully ask all participants to embrace and adhere to the following principles so
that everyone has the opportunity to safely explore their personal boundaries and adult sexuality.

ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with a heavy heart but a look to a Kinky horizon, that we have made the very
hard decision to postpone Oz Kink Fest 2020.
We wish to offer our sincerest apologies to our 2020 stall holders.

As promised June was our deadline for deciding if Oz Kink Fest would proceed in 2020.
We have been keeping up to date and across the impact the pandemic has had, and the legal requirements required to produce events of scale.
While the government are slowly reducing restrictions, for venues the 4 sqm + 1.5 m social distancing remains as well as limit of less than 50 people in a venue (seated) – these limits will increase to 100 people by the end of June

However, nightclubs and events where people are standing are not permitted in any of these changes. Nightclubs can open at the end of June, but all patrons must be seated and adhere
to measurement and distancing rules.
For every 50 people in a venue you need a floor area of 10 m x 5 m and they must socially distance

It is likely that the 1.5 m SD will remain indefinitely in Vic

It is also likely that the 4 m sq will remain until the end of 2020 in Vic

Regardless of all of the above kink events / parties are a high transmission risk environment just by nature of the environment and that is not a risk we will subject our patrons, staff and selves too.

Oz Kink Fest has been 13 years in the making so to produce it for the sake of putting up an
event is not something I am prepared to do.

It is all or nothing, do it right or do not do it.

It is the right decision and an easy decision to make

But it still breaks OUR hearts

It has been hard to come in and write this because it impacts on so many people
and all we can do is ask for your support in this difficult period of time.

There has been a huge financial impact which needs to be acknowledged.
The investment in the next festival starts on the last day of the festival the year before.
Artists, presenters, crew, performers are all impacted.

But it is a risk I take every year; this year has just taken it to an extreme level!
We are committed to return and produce an inclusive community eventwe can be proud of; it just will not be this year.
